Dr Biju got Ph.D in Physics from University of Kerala in 2003 in the field of Nanostructured Materials. He worked as a Lecturer in Physics in Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology affiliated to University of Kerala during 2003-2004. Then he joined Sree Narayana College, Kollam as Lecturer in Physics and continued till 2007. In 2007 he joined Kerala government Collegiate service for a brief period of six months. In 2007, he joined duties as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, University of Kerala.

Current research fields include Nanocrystalline transition metal oxides for energy storage applications, X-ray diffraction analysis of nanostructures and Structure –property correlation of nanocrystalline materials.
